Frequently Asked Questions
What’s it going to cost?
All rig builds start at $999.99. The larger and more complicated the rig, the higher the cost. Professional custom rig are an investment - like any guitar or amplifier - and should be considered as such. The Rig Doctor only uses high quality components and materials, to ensure reliability and the integrity of your tone.
How does the warranty work?
If a component provided by The Rig Doctor on your new rig fails due to workmanship or negligence on behalf of The Rig Doctor, we will replace that component free of charge (i.e, cables, zip ties, tie down mounts, pedal(s), power supplies, etc.). If there is a catastrophic failure within the rig that is the fault of The Rig Doctor, we will repair the rig and correct the failure.
If a pedal, power supply, or other component provided by the customer is damaged, broken, or otherwise inoperable, by no fault of The Rig Doctor, it is not covered under the warranty. If a component provided by The Rig Doctor is damaged, broken, or otherwise inoperable due to the fault or negligence of the customer, it is not covered under the warranty. If the rig or any component is damaged during shipping, it is not covered on the warranty, as all return packages are insured for the value of the rig, and all claims for damage should be filed with the shipping carrier.
How does shipping work?
The customer is responsible for the cost of roundtrip shipping. The customer is required to ship their pedals/components to The Rig Doctor via the shipping carrier of their choice. We highly suggest insuring the package in case of damage or loss. Upon completion of the rig, we will inform the customer of the cost of return shipping, which will include mandatory shipping insurance - unless the customer prefers to provide their own shipping label. The customer will be responsible for the cost of return shipping. The board will not ship back to the customer with any remaining balance due.
How does the process work?
When the customer completes the Quote Request form, The Rig Doctor will reach out to you to schedule a live Initial Design Consultation Session. Here, we will outline all of the details of your rig build. After this session, The Rig Doctor will provide you with a price quote and a layout plan for your rig build.
Upon the customer’s approval of the quote and the layout plan, we will require a 50% deposit to start the rig build and order the necessary components (pedal(s), power supply, pedalboard, case, etc.) Once received, you will be placed on our calendar, components will be ordered, and the customer is cleared to ship their pedals to us.
Throughout the rig build process, we will keep the customer updated as to the progress, and send pictures.
Do I supply my pedals and other equipment?
The customer is responsible for supplying the pedals. The Rig Doctor is able to supply utility pedals, interfaces, power supplies, a pedalboard, and a case.
Does the pedalboard come with a case?
The pedalboard does not come with a case and the associated cost is not included in the price quote. However, we can supply a flight case or a soft, padded case (depending on size).
